Flings' Favs- Joel Osteen Podcast

I love the positivity of this podcast. I can always rely on it to lift me up and give me some seriously needed encouragement. Some days it seems to know exactly what I need, the times when I feel like giving up, thinking I’m not good enough or will never be good enough, I put on this podcast to help center me. This podcast makes me feel like no matter how bad things may be in the moment, that there’s always hope. The word of God and positivity go hand in hand for me. I know God has good plans for me, I also know that sometimes it differs from the plans I make. This podcast helps me have a better perspective on things. From practicing forgiveness (which is one of the hardest things for me to do), love, kindness and openness, I believe this show has a word for everyone. Joel starts off with a joke every sermon (some may refer to them as ‘dad jokes’ and they are) and this quote which has become famous,

“This is my Bible. I am what it says I am, I have what it says I have, I can do what it says I can do. Today I’ll be taught the Word of God. I boldly confess my mind is alert, my heart is receptive, I’ll never be the same, in Jesus name.”

Joel Osteen

Pastor, Lakewood Church

Aside from the podcast, you can catch Joel Osteen on Sundays when he delivers his sermons, which are then later posted as the podcast. He has also written numerous books, a couple of which I own and love. Having the sermons and being able to pick the ones I feel my spirit needs at the time is perfect for me. Joel's wife, Victoria Osteen also preaches messages on the podcast. I know there are some people who feel like Joel isn’t for them, and that's okay. I just know that the word he speaks, speaks to my spirit and I will continue listening until such a time as I feel it doesn’t.

Have you listened to any of Joel Osteen's sermons before? Are there any other faith-based I should check out? Let me know!

Love always,

Flings
